Thomas Firth Jackson Installation |
| District Grand Prefect Paul Snape along with his deputy Mark Barton and the provincial team made their way to Ulverston for the installation meeting of the Thomas Firth Jackson Council No 262 at Ulverston Masonic Hall. |
| It was to be an extended meeting as there were two new candidates to be admitted into the order in the persons of Nigel Higginson and Barry Hadley. It was indeed appropriate that the ceremony was undertaken by their good friend outgoing WM Dave Sear as he had proposed them both for membership. Dave then moved on to the important business of installing Keiron Mullan as the new ruler of the council. Keiron and Dave too are good mates having worked together in other orders. |

| District senior warden Eric Picton and his colleague junior warden Alan Fairhurst took on the mantle of installing wardens. All were under the careful eye and gentle guidance of district director of ceremonies Ray Lamb. |
The District team |
| Keiron was of course welcomed as the latest ruler in the district by Paul who had also extended a welcoming hand to Nigel and Barry following their admission. |
The assembled brethren |
| The District Grand Prefect was again called into action to present Joe Crabtre with his Grand Council certificate. |
At refreshment |
| Paul was later to remark how much he had enjoyed both the admission of Nigel and Barry and the installation ceremony. |
| Following the ceremonial side of the evening it was time to adjourn for refreshment. The food on this occasion was a cold meat salad buffet followed by cheese cake or fresh fruit salad. It went down well. |
